We know you love your RV. You spend a lot of time in it, you invest in it, and you take good care of it. Regardless of how old your rig is, sometimes the factory furniture just doesn’t sit well with you. Here at Bradd & Hall, we understand this and want to help you find the right RV furniture that will make you fall in love with your rig all over again.
There are multiple ways to add a bit of customization when it comes to choosing new RV furniture – chairs, recliners, dinettes and so much more. The comfort of your RV depends on the furniture inside, and it’s not something you want to take lightly. It’s where you land at the end of a long hike or bike ride. It’s where you eat dinner with your family, making memories to last a lifetime. Your RV’s furnishings can help you live a life of luxury by replacing the furniture, or if your RV simply has quite a few miles under its belt, purchasing new furniture will make your RV feel brand new.
Choosing new furniture for your RV can be a bit overwhelming! There are a million choices it feels like, and how do you know if you’re choosing the right set for you? We’ve compiled a list of our favorite tips and tricks for selecting the perfect RV furniture for you and your family.
Don’t rush into any purchases.
We know the thought of new furniture for your rig is exhilarating and wonderfully exciting, but do your best to not rush into any purchases! It’s incredibly easy to get swept into the idea of your renovation project and want it done right this second. But, no one makes their best decisions in a rush, and you might end up spending more money than you planned if you don’t plan and rush through the shopping process. Or, you might end up with buyer’s remorse when you see something you like better just a few days after you’ve already purchased your new furniture set.
This is why we tell our customers to take their time when shopping for new RV furniture. It’ll pay off to wait it out and survey all of your choices before deciding.
Read reviews.
Reviews are from customers that have already purchased the piece of furniture you’re looking at, so they have a sort of, inside view into the product. They know how it arrived, if it was already damaged and how easy or difficult the installation was. We know most of our readers use camping to escape from the digital world, but using reviews to help you decide on the best RV furniture for you can really be helpful. They’re there to give you a fuller understanding of the product so you know more than what the photos show. Even if you’re shopping in person (we’re sure you are), reviews are still full of great information from customers.
Reviews are normally unfiltered, so you’ll see the good, bad and the ugly of the product. Maybe it’s a great chair until you realize that the upholstery tears quickly or it’s simply not as comfortable as you were expecting. Remember to take these reviews with a grain of salt, as these people are usually either extremely happy or incredibly upset with their purchase.
Choose the furniture in person if you can.
Photos aren’t exactly a tell-all of a product, so it’s best to see it in person if you can. Now is the time where having something delivered to your door is as simple as a click of a button, but furniture is something you must try before buying. Feel free to visit our showroom in Elkhart, Indiana and see for yourself all the furniture options we have for you. With almost 30 years of experience in the RV industry, we only sell the most comfortable models!
Do enough research.
We cannot stress this enough! Reading reviews absolutely counts as part of your research, but really dig into the brands you’re shipping and check out the quality. Are the products made out of cheap material? How long has the brand or manufacturer been around? If you aren’t sure, there are several RV forums online that you can go to for advice on which brands are great and which to stay away from.
Know your measurements.
This is so critical in making sure you purchase the right RV furniture. You might have a class C, but not all furniture class C furniture is made to fit into all class Cs. Be sure you grab a tape measure and figure out the measurements of the space the furniture will go in and the furniture itself. Don’t be stuck with making a return because you assumed measurements!
The most important thing about shopping for RV furniture is that you’re happy with what you purchased. You want to be comfortable with your purchase, but you also want to be comfortable in the literal sense, too. There’s no point in buying uncomfortable furniture, so take your time, do your research, and choose the furniture in person if possible. Taking these steps will ensure you’re happy with your decision for years to come.
As always, contact us here at Bradd & Hall if you have any questions or concerns about purchasing new RV furniture.
